LOIS THULL SCHOLARSHIP 2023
To honor the memory of Lois Thull (dear wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, secretary, and colleague), this scholarship was established in her name to provide academic financial assistance to students who uphold her strong commitment to family, to service to others, and to St. Matthew School and Parish. Lois was a loving, kindhearted caregiver who enjoyed helping others in a humble and motherly way. She generously shared her time and talents as a loyal servant to St. Matthew School and Parish for over 30 years, touching the lives of countless students, parents, teachers, and parishioners.
Scholarship recipients must be graduates of St. Matthew School. Students who are currently pursuing/intend to pursue degrees in a “helping profession,” defined as a vocation that nurtures the growth of or addresses the problems of a person's well-being, are encouraged to apply. Areas of study include, but are not limited to: medicine, nursing, psychology, counseling, social work, education, public service, and ministry. One scholarship in the amount of $1000 will be awarded. The scholarship will be used toward an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or postbaccalaureate degree at an accredited institution. Recipients may only receive this scholarship once.
